I had a DVD shelf I was thinking of discarding, but as it was very easy to take apart, I decided to use it to build a dollhouse instead. This is Ruby's house in the Kitty and Riddick story.
I'm not exactly fond of sawing, so the form of the house depended entirely on which parts would fit together without sawing. I still had to saw to make the two windows in the upmost floor. The front wall is a piece of cardboard.
Here are the window frames and door after painting and the top floor windows in place.
All the windows are in place as well as the wallpapers. The two halves of a champagne bottle cork are there for attaching the hinges.
The side window in the top floor is the only one that opens.
Here are all three floors of the house furnished. The pictures are from various parts of the photo story.
